A 16-year-old boy was convicted to a minimum of 14 years in jail for killing his former girlfriend in exchange for a free breakfast from a male friend in London.

Swansea Crown Court Judge Justice Lloyd Jones found Joshua Davies guilty of brutally killing Rebecca Aylward, 15, some time in October 2010 at the woodland in Aberkenfig, near Bridgend. Based on court records, the young suspect smashed the head of the victim with a rock the size of a rugby boy.

Judge Jones said Davies needs to stay in jail for 14 years before he is considered for parole.

The judge said Davies is a “devious, calculating and controlling” boy who had no form of remorse on the gruesome crime he did. The court record showed that a friend of Davies offered him free breakfast if he can kill the victim.

Two days before the death of the victim, Davies texted the friend saying: “Don’t say anything but you may just owe me a breakfast.” Goodlawd! This teenager deserves to spend time in jail for his senseless crime!
