GoodLawd! Just when we thought we’d heard it all—WE HADN’T. The Huffington Post reports that a church congregation in Italy was traumatized when one of its members, a 46-year-old man by the name of Aldo Bianchini stood up in church and gouged both his eyeballs out of their sockets.
The surgeon that treated him when he was brought to the hospital tried to reinsert the eyeballs, but was unsuccessful. The surgeon said it took “super-human” strength for the man to be capable of accomplishing the feat.
Bianchini was also known to be a schizophrenic and apparently use the bible scripture Matthew 18:9 LITERALLY.
And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It’s better to enter eternal life with only one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.
