Welcome To New York: 78 Sq Foot Apartment

When someone from New York City tells you that they’re apartment is a closet, you probably think thats a figure of speech. Luke Clark Tyler is here to tell you otherwise. When someone from New York tells you that they live in a closet, they MEAN IT!

Check out the video below where this guy shows you how he actually lives in a 78 Square foot apartment! Located in Midtown (oh you fancy huh?), the monthly rent is 800 dollars! That might sound like a steal but actually he’s the one getting robbed! Tyler has no kitchen, and has to share a bathroom with 3 other fools residents of similar “apartments”.

Now I’m all for the convenience of living in a location that’s five minutes from all the cool stuff. But how convenient can it be to have to go outside to stretch your arms? FOR 800 DOLLARS! And guess what, sadly, in NYC THATS PROBABLY A BARGAIN?! In New York, NOTHING to live in costs 800 dollars! Unless you buy a refrigerator and live in the box it came in (which might be bigger than this guy’s apartment.)

Even in the ghettoest of neighborhoods, your rent will be more than 800 dollars! But at least you’ll be able to walk through the front door without falling out the back window. He probably has to step outside to take a deep breath. In all fairness, I think he did a great job building the furniture and finding places to store all of his stuff! He is amazingly neat! I dont know anyone who could pull this off but him. I’d like to see the apartments of his neighbors.

After watching this video, I’m convinced that he lives in a narrow hallway! Someone threw a door on it and told him is an apartment! There is NO WAY that this is legal! Honestly, if he wanted to keep his little cubby, he should have kept it off the internet, because I have a feeling the department of housing is gonna shut this ish DOWN!

Before you start packing your bags, thinking you’re going to move to Manhattan to get you a cubby like this, you must first know 3 things.

1. The only way to make it work, is to become an architect and build all of your furniture with 2 by 4′s.

2. You have to be an expert at puzzles to get all of your stuff to fit neatly into your space.

3. You probably shouldn’t mind having roommates, cuz the mice said they were there first and aint goin nowhere!

GOOD LUCK WITH THAT. Heres the video!
